For the life of me, I cannot keep up with a daily blog but I will not quit! How do people do it???? My DH J suggested that I keep a log (maybe he means a journal, another thing I’ve never been any good at???) during the week and then paste it into my blog some time during the weekend and add the photos……………..uh, easy as smeasy, right? Well, we will see. Here goes for the rest of the week and we will see how next week goes! And I give up trying to make it all go together, if you don't get the pictures and the journaling, let me know!

Saturday: January 31, 2009

Saturday is supposed to be my day to watch whatever MOMMY wants to watch. I usually end up watching whatever the girls want to see but today I watched a little CMT. I don’t know how long the video of Johnny Cash has been out but B fell in love with it. The two of us got out in the middle of the floor and danced up a storm. Had a blast! In walks DH-J and him and I dance while B starts dancing up a storm right by herself until she crashes in the floor. While A sits over on the couch and says that she is the only normal person in our family. Well, of course she is the only normal person in our family. She is the one who dances on stage in front of people. Not the rest of us!

Man what a rough night, morning and day! Nuthead went to sleep when we did. I took him out to go potty before we went to sleep. I took him to potty when the alarm when off and as soon as he came back in, he went potty again. And twice before we left for work. Mama found him in the house running loose and wild three times after she had taken him outside and put him back in the crate. Apparently he must have not slept good because he didn't have a good morning!

Wednesday: January 28, 2009

My mom always hated animals. So she said. She had a blind chicken that she carried around when she was little. Then when I had Sasha, she would take her over to my grandma’s house every morning when I was in college so she wouldn’t have to stay at the house by herself all day. Now tell me, if someone will go that far out of their way before they go to work, how can they honestly not like animals. And so, how can I love dogs as much as I do and A love dogs as much as she does and have my mom not love then? But no matter how far up or down the love goes, I love the dogs and A loves the dogs.

Tuesday: January 27, 2009

Need I say more? I love them and I love to watch them sleep!

Monday: January 26, 2009

DH-J decided that he would walk Peanut for me. Said he wouldn’t because WE didn’t want Peanut to attach to him before he attached to me but he is in love with that little dog just like everyone else is around here so he blew it and he walked him. While he was outside two birds came swooping down near the pecan tree and one was HUGE. He yells for me to come look. I run outside and I do see two birds but they are so far away I can’t tell what they are. J says the largest one is an Eagle. WOW! I would love to see an eagle here! Can you tell what it is????

Sunday January 25, 2009

This is B’s snack before she goes to bed……..M&Ms, Skittles and Goldfish Crackers. She ate all of the Goldfish first! Then she goes to sleep before she eats the others.

Saturday, January 24, 2009

B's Birthday Party was yesterday!!!! Little Bit's birthday was Dec 3. Big sister was practicing for ballet and the Nutcracker so she wanted to wait until the next weekend to have her party. The next weekend, was the Saturday morning with the Clauses and one of her best friend's birthday party was that same day, then we were headed to Disney World the next week so we decided to wait until the first weekend in January to have her party. B thought it was a great idea. Then I got sick and when we rescheduled it, we scheduled it far enough away so we'd have enought time to get the invitations out because time was running out fast!

We had a blast. Or should I say the kids had a blast? At least I know B did. Monkey Joe's wasn't as expensive as I thought it was going to be and it was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. It was well worth it!

For Friday, January 23, 2009

Happy Birthday to Me! Yep, I'm almost old. The best part was coming home and the girls being so excited to give me a bottle of perfume and a cake. B even let me take a bite out of the cake as if I was one year old! Too much fun!

Here's my self portrait of the day...... Just wait til next year. I will be old then.

For Thursday January 22, 2009

I'm confused. I'm so far behind posting my photos that I'm not sure what I did when and I know the photos have the dates that are on them, I just don't remember doing things on certain dates now. You will see why in the next post! I don't have a photo for the 22nd but I really do remember taking one. When I get behind from now on, I'm going to make a post for each day just like I would be making if I was posting one each day.

Here's a photo that we took the day we went to the dentist. We saw this back during Christmas and thought it was decorated specifically for Christmas and now we think they may have forgotten their decorations. Its a cell phone tower made to look like a Christmas tree. We haven't seen it at night so we don't know if it lights up or not. It would be neat if it did!

Big Day at School

I know I'm cheating today. I had a doctor's appointment at the dispensary to be returned back to work with no restrictions that when I missed the last time, took me months to get back to a normal work schedule. There was no way I could miss this appoinment. Best of Bunch is always scheduled for the Wednesday after report cards go out. A got Honor Roll and B got Math Award and Perfect Attendance and since I wasn't going to be there, I got J to take pictures for me today. It was also the 100th day of school today and my mom took pictures for that. I just don't know which one I'll use for a scrapbook idea today.....I wonder where I'll get my inspiration from...............when you have kids, you never have to look far. They always have a ton to give with plenty of hugs and love! Wouldn't you agree?

Here's B first because she is in Kindergarten and they were at 8:30:

Can you tell she was proud of her Perfect Attendance Award and Math Award Notepad? Hey, I'm just glad she's good in math!

Next is A. Her's is at 10:30 because she is in the 2nd grade:

She has been on the Honor Roll every six weeks since she was in 1st grade. I don't know where she gets it from but I am certainly glad she gets it from somewhere! I just wish I was able to help her more.

And here is something B's class did in counting 100 days of school. She had to count 100 Q-tips and for each one she counted, she had to put the number on the chart. She got a few numbers mixed up but the math whiz that they told her she was today, ended up with 100. Makes perfect sense to me, doesn't it to you too????

I have no idea which I will work on for the layout! And tomorrow starts week 4, I think! Boy I am behind!!!!

Where Did Sunday and Monday Go???

That makes me 3 days behind! Sunday, we went to church, ate at Subway, went to Wal-Mart, went to church, ate at Wendy's and came home. We didn't get much done, we all wanted to play with Peanut!

Oh yes, we all think he is just wonderful! Even my mom hasn't had any complaints about him and she doesn't really like any animals!

Monday, we had to take the girls to the dentist. Never a fun trip but not always as bad as you think it will be. Their dentist always tells us to stop by McDonald's and get an ice cream. Only this time, we went by Dairy Queen instead. AJ didn't get a shot so she got a Dilly bar that was an anomaly if you would like to call it that. At least, I've never seen one made this way.

Have you ever seen a Dilly Bar that looked like this? It was just as good as they ever were but rather strange looking!

We've only had Peanut since Saturday but I think he has moved in. I called the vet yesterday and made an appointment to take him over this morning and have him fixed and get him updated on all his shots and have his teeth looked at. When I went in to get him this morning to go potty, this is what I found.

You can't tell me that he doesn't feel at home or he wouldn't be laid out and asleep like this! The vet called this afternoon and because of the overbite or underbite (I can't remember which one now) his lower teeth were so worn that they had to pull three of his teeth. We could see that some of his front teeth looked as if they had been filled down. And where he had been eating only soft food, he had an awful lot of tartar. We had tried feeding him and he would not eat but we finally hand fed him some soft food. We thought he was so spoiled that it was the only way he would eat but now we are thinking that it is because his teeth were so worn down that it hurt to eat unless someone put the food in his mouth and bypassed the teeth in the front. Poor baby. I go pick him up tomorrow. All of us are eager to see him. I will be glad when he trusts us enough to stick with us and no wander around in the house.

Peanut's At Out House!

We went to the Animal Shelter this morning and we got the Pomeranian Peanut. He was alot better than we had expected. I thought he would be old and gray or snappy toward the girls, be afraid of us but he walked in, sniffed of me, smiled at me and I was his person. I didn't take the picture today, dh did. Its a picture of Peanut and me at the shelter. Now that we are home, we have found one problem. He snores! But, everyone in our house snores! He's laying in oldest daughter's lap now asleep. He's more fur than body. He only weighs about 5 pounds. After I bathed him, I was brushing him and he was watching every move I was making. I could tell that it was the most attention he had been given in a long time. When we got home, he was king of the mountain, you wuold have thought he was going to tear the day lights out of Willie, the golden retriever. He was so funny growling at the big dog! But, I've been telling the girls how big the little things think they are! Its wonderful having one back in the house again. I've missed having one here with me.

Week Two Layout

Here You Go:

Pets

When I went in to the hospital the last time and my blood pressure was so high, Justin said I needed a cat to purr and bring my blood pressure down. I told him what I really needed was another pomeranian dog like I had years ago. And so, the hunt begun. At first a little slow and then this last week when I went back to work, the hunt sped up. A friend at work called and told me about one at a local shelter. The little bugger was a beauty. Doesn't she look sweet to you? But they wouldn't let her go to a family with kids, even though my kids had been raised around animals. SO, the search was on in earnest.

This morning, I headed to work with contact information and photos of eight small, adult pomeranians. Four immediately got crossed off because they were in a different time zone (Florida) and I couldn't contact them until 11:00 our time. One was crossed out because it was from Alabama and they require pre-placement and post-placement home visits. I told my friend from Texas that it sure sounded like when we were told to scrub our refrigerators with old tooth brushes before the social workers came to visit when doing our adoption home studies! Another was in Atlanta and I left a message but haven't gotten a return call. Another had already been taken and the last one, we are supposed to pick up tomorrow morning. His name is Peanut, he's four years old and weighs six pounds. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, loves kids and is a good dog. Well, we will just have to see how he takes to all of us tomorrow. I know if I met all of us, I might run and hide at first!

I tried to call DH and tell him I'd pick him up for lunch but naturally his shop is too noisy to hear a phone so I parked and waited. I had the camera ready but before he comes out the door, he calls me and asks where I am at. Waiting on you! He comes out the double door and there's two cars and a golf cart between us. I have to wait until he gets across the street and by then, he knows I'm going to take his picture. I wanted to take his picture with him knowing I was there but not knowing I was going to take his picture. Oh, well, here is DH, glad that I am meeting him for lunch at the cafeteria. Fish today. Not that good, considering there's no slaw to go with it and the tartar sauce is more like slaw than tartar sauce but taste somewhere in between.
Later, when I get my layout done. I think I am up to date with my pictures now...............if not, I will get them later.

I Will Tonight!

I will get caught up tonight! I promise I will in a little bit! I got pics to download and things to say! I will be back!

Long Day! What Happened!

Whew! I do not know what happened to today. I dropped J off at work, picked him up for lunch, gave him the car, he went to get B from gymnastics, they came to get me, we went to get gas, came home, cooked supper, did homework and it is after 9:00. J is washing dishes so I can do this quickly and the girls are brushing teeth. I don't know what happened to the time today. B sat quietly while A did homework and then said LOOK! She has spelled her name with Q-Tips! And so, the photo I had taken for today, has been replaced by another at the last minute! That kid comes up with the strangest things!

Favorite Chinese Resturant Reopened!

China Buffet in WR reopened while I was in the hospital and I hadn't ate there until tonight. It was so much better than it use to be and it was pretty good to begin with! The place is beautiful now! They've got pandas on the doors, dragons in glass on the walls, a terra cotta warrior in glass on a door and several other designs in glass that I can't remember now. It even has sushi! B wouldn't eat it though! She made a funny face and said she thought it was fruit and wanted fruit instead. How she got the two confused is beyond me! And so now it is time to get baths and go to bed and I have the hic-cups. Ugh. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? I know this isn't a good picture but it is just beautiful to me. I couldn't get both sides of the door without getting my reflection in the glass. There is a reflection but I don't know who it is. Maybe its someone on the inside instead of their reflection from the outside. It almost looks as if one person is going two different directions :) Who knows!

First Day Back At Work Surprises

January 12, 2009:
I got to work on time this morning. Had to go by the dispensary because I had been in the hospital. I got there at 7:00 and didn't think they opened until 7:30 so I sat there a few minutes and realized that all the other vehicles didn't have anyone sitting in them so I got out and went in. There were about 20 people ahead of me and I was signing in at only 7:05! I didn't get out of there until 10:45, as bad as a Dr's office. When I get out, I run to my office to let them know that I am back at work and when I go in to my office, guess what I am greeted with! A 3-week old coffee cup with coffee and mold growing in it. Yuck! What an ugly sight! I'm sure it could have been worse. But, if I had only been gone a few days, it certainly would have been better. HA! I had 384 emails to go through, I didn't get them all filed where they needed to be but I did get a lot of them deleted and tomorrow I will go through voicemails. Maybe I will be caught up by then.....................maybe, there's still work to be done other than email and voicemail! Here's the yucky stuff! Enjoy!

Weekend's Over

Yes, the weekend's over and its almost time to go back to work. Blah. Its been a busy weekend too, as usual. Today we went skating. We had originally intended to go yesterday but decided to do something else which you will see later. Here's DH and the girls. I can't skate anymore. I thought once you learned, it was like riding a bike and you never forgot but I remember, its just my legs won't move right anymore! I don't know if I like it in black in white or not.

Yesterday we went to see an exhibit they are having in Milledgeville of Abraham Lincoln's life. The most amazing part of it to me was the two clay face masks that were made when he young and old. You could feel the differences that life had made in his facial features. I thought the entire thing was great. If you get a chance to see it in your state, go see it!
See you later!

New Snaggler

Yep! We finally lost a tooth again! Oldest has had a loose tooth for months and Thursday night it was hanging by a thread it seemed. She went off in to the bathroom and wouldn't let anyone touch it and didn't come otu until she was screaming with blood in her mouth. She pulled it herself.

Friday was my last day out of work so the girls asked if I would eat lunch with them. Which is always fun because one has lunch at 11:05 and the other has it at 12:05. I get two salads one for each lunch period. I eat my first salad and wait for the second. But I've got two pics for Friday.

Layout for Week 1

Here it is: Week 1 Page 1

And, Week 1 Page 2:

Hope it all makes sense to you!

Slow At Keeping Up!

Man, there's not enough time in the day for me! I get my pictures but then I forget to download them and load them to blogger and do the rest. So here's the rest of my first week. I know its Friday but I will explain my pictures from what was left.

Here's youngest daughter teaching me how to do a handstand. Like that's going to ever happen again! But she's sure if I will just pay attention, that she can teach me.

And just what is so great about an ugly old pecan tree? Nothing other than my mom and my girls picked up the pecans from it and made over $250 this year. That's a lot! We've got this tree in our front yard and my mom has a smaller tree in her yard. This ended up being their money at Disney world!
That's my first week of photos. When I get my layout all put together, I will post it. Soon, I hope!

Tuesday, January 6, 2009

HAHA! Laugh if you will!

I come to blogger this morning to load my pics for yesterday and it shows that I haven't blogged anything since 2 January. I know I loaded something every day except for one day. I guess it all got lost in the cyberspace they call it. I do remember thinking that I didn't like the red background of my layout and changing it and by the time I got that done and loaded, I had two pages to load and very little to say and decided to only load my photos daily and save my layout for the last day. I guess now I will load my photos again.

This picture was New Year's Day. Not nice to be in the hospital, but nice to be with family and the ones you love! Always!

This is the two best nurses I think I've ever had in my life! And, having been diabetic for 30+ years, I think that gives me a little bit of qualifications to judge! One argued with me from the time I rolled onto HER floor and the other fusssed over me and made sure I was well taken care of. Yep! That would be my nurses!

The room with a view. This was my hospital room view. To remind me that life's view is not always beautiful. I thought I was facing the new wing construction area, which is not any prettier, but instead I was facing the dumpsters.

What fun? Who hasn't loved to jump on a trampoline at one time or another in their lifetime? I know I enjoyed it when I was a kid! They love it. Just when they get off, they have to have a bath because their feet are BLACK! As smut! Its under a pecan tree so the sap makes for pretty nasty looking feet when you're finished jumping!

Here's oldest daughter training Willie her Golden Retriever. He knows her so well. You can tell by his jaws that she's fixing to move and throw the treat to him. True love. He'd follow her to the moon and back and flip a few times on the way.

Ok, that's all for now. I got to get out of this house and move around today. I think since DH made pralines yesterday youngest daughter and I will take a ride in the golfcart this afternoon and give some to friends up the road as a thank you for their prayers, calls, offers of kid sitting, beef stew and just being there while I was sick.

Slow Starting

A friend, Kelley, asked if I was up to doing Project 365 with her. I'm still not sure but I am going to try. Even if I do this and no other scrapbooking all year, I will have completed one album and that is more than I seem to complete any other way. I get about half way through an album and get sidetracked and then never finish. I started Beka's lifebook in August 2008 and then had a heart cath and stent and while at home started working on a slide show for my grandmother's 97th birthday and haven't done another page on Beka's lifebook. I got to get back to work on it. I started taking my photos yesterday for Project 365. I'm not exactly happy with the papers and elements I picked so I will be changing them before I complete the pages.
