First Day of School 2009-2010

The girls love school. So, when it was time to go back, they were ready. They both had a great first day. I'm glad they like school as much as they do.............I always hated school!

The Day After The Party!

We went to see the fireworks last night. And B brought something to our attention.......which is nothing unusual. She's never seen the finale. Last year, the woods caught on fire and the fireworks were cancelled and the year before A chewed on one of the neon necklaces and got the glow stuff all over her and we had to leave so we could wash it off of her. She kept asking is this the finale. We had a pretty nice family on the left side of us, and two truckfuls of roudy people on the right and behind us. We were in the same area as last year only the area was cleaned out and it looks like they are going to build something new there. We saw a lot of the smoke from the fireworks this year. The wind wasn't blowing enough to blow it away. The girls enjoyed themselves only the traffic afterwards took an hour to get from the place where we parked to the bridge in town............Let's see......we have pictures of the girls waiting for the fireworks to start.........................the prettiest firework of all to me...........B enjoying her lollipop from Hansel and Gretel's Candy Store.................B eating watermelon after the parade..................A acting like she didn't know I was going to take her picture while waiting for the fireworks.............and A jamming while waiting in traffic on the way to see the fireworks.

I know my pictures are out of order as the day happened but after I loaded them, I was too tired of waiting for good internet to rearrange them.....just enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!

We went to Mayfield's Dairy yesterday. Yum-YUM!

We have just finished the golf cart parade and the watermelon social. We didn't win this year but I do have a photo of the cart that did. There were three Betsy Ross' and even a guy dressed as Uncle Sam with flip-flops on!
Here's the girls, our cart and the one that won.

Tonight we will go to the fireworks in Helen and if I had time, I will load a couple of pictures from there.

Mermaids

Here's some fish we found while in Florida. Quite beautiful to me.

Sunny Florida

I've never been a big fan of Florida nor beaches. Put me on a mountaintop with a rocker and a cup of coffee and I'll be just fine. But, the girls want to go to the beach. So yesterday after Field Day we loaded up in the RV and headed south. We stopped at a WM and when we came out there were two bikes on the back of the RV. We have no idea how that happened unless the Elves dropped them off while we were inside. B wakes me up at 6:50 this morning (forget the 8:00 rule AND that it is a Saturday!). We walked over to get breakfast only to realize that we are an hour ahead of them so we had a half hour to wait.

Here's a picture of each girl on the new bikes. We may not make it to the beach.................

Turtle Freedom

My mom brought a turtle over this morning that was in her yard and immediately A swore that it was going to be her new pet and she was going to call it either Pete or Daisy. We did a little research and decided that it would be best to let Pete go free. After the day in captivity, we made a trek down to our 'pond' and let him go. It is so funny to me how 'city-fied' my girls are, even though we do live in the country. At their ages, I thought nothing of following my grandpa down in the woods but eeewww, this was terrible and we didn't even step foot in the actual woods! Oh! And by the way, our pond is only a little hole that was dug out when they were building the house. Justin put a sewage pipe in it so now the water from the creek will come in when its high but usually doesn't go back out.

As the girls say 'Do we have to go down here?'

'Here you go Petie, have a good life!'

Here is Our Golden Pond :0

Recent Photos and Update

Spring break was last week. We didn't go anywhere, A had practice for her part in Peter and The Wolf. Her group was the meadow. I didn't see them since I was working back stage. She always wants me back stage where I can be close to her. But the girls didn't eat until Mr. Frey offered a Chik-Fil-A at intermission. Thank Goodness! And, as B said...hey, it was cold but it sure was good! I think from now on, J can work back stage and I can be our family's gopher. We are always (or at least I am) so stressed out that if I can be the one that makes sure that everything comes all together at the last minute, even that we do have flowers, then I will be ok. Then I can be sure that everyone is taken care of at the last minute. But, maybe things will be smoother for all of us. Something's got to give in our wild and wacky way of doing things around here!

Beka learning to decorate cookies.......I'm not that good at cakes so I don't think I will be that good at teaching her to decorate cookies. We are giving it another shot for Easter.

Having fun with cousin Bobby. Hey, I always thought he was the greatest so now they do too. I never realized until I saw this picture how much he looks like our Uncle Johnnie.

I have never paid to have a dog professionally bathed. Poor Peanut. He was shedding so much hair that I could not get it all combed out. The girls and I took him and requested that he get pink toenails and a bow in his hair. He did get the bow in the hair but not pink toenails. PetSmart calls it the Furminator, he's still shedding but not as bad.

Most Painful

More like the pain of all of my frustration!

For the last two weeks I have been battling a sinus infection, allergies and the most painful something that no one would really put a name to. The doctor at themed stop said it was allergies and fluid behind my middle ear drum. My regular doctor's nurse told me that it probably wasn't an ear infection because most adults (and I've heard this before) don't have ear infections but have TMJ instead. I realize that but I couldn't hear out of my left ear suddenly and it was more painful than ever. By Tuesday, I was almost crying with the pain. I called my ENT and asked if there was any way I could see him or the PA and they got me in that afternoon. The PA told me that it was definitelyTMJ, did the test for fluids in my middle ear and then took me back for my hearing test. When I ws finished with the hearing test, the lady told me I had lost a dramatic amount of hearing in my left ear since 2007 when I had my last test. So, I go back to the dr'f office. When he come in, he goies to 'spouting' medical terms that I can't hear because he's on my left side and when I sk what, he says that he'd have to kill me if he told me, but he brings out the tine thingee, and hits it and puts it in different areas and I can barely hear it every where he puts it so now I am on a horse-size antibiotic and a steriod. I feel that the first day that my hearing started gettingbetter but since then, I can't tell a difference. I guess I will have tow ait and see. I do hope it comes back.

And, according to Beka......it is more important for me to scrapbook than it is for me to blog. She says (and you know she knows me pretty well) that if I will journal here and just keep up with my photos, I cna do better. I do know that I can't keep up with both of them, I guess I need a camera that I can download wirelessly (is there such a thing?) but, I am now 2 months behind with my 365 scrapbooking so I'm going to regroup and try it Beka's way and see if I can get caught up. I will at least try to keep you all updated on the blog even if I don't update you with photos....................I'm just a slow person!

And, where did that come from? I use to be so on top of everything. I don't know what's up anymore! Old age I guess.

Totally Unexpected

Last night on the news, it said there was a 20% chance of snow. We commented that it wouldn't happend and the girls that it had to happen. When B and I went to church this morning, it was raining and I saw something coming toward the windshield. As I saw it coming I told her to "LOOK, IT'S SNOWING" as I realized that it wasn't snow that ti was sleet. We so seldom get either that I get the two confused! HA! While we were at church, Mr. T told us that we wouldn't have church tonight due to the weather because we didn't know what would happen and B asks if it is going to snow and if Mr. T knows about the secret. We came home from church, ate lunch, a good stew that I started, added to and then mama added to so I have no clue to the recipe for but B ate 2nds and 3rds of the meat so it had to be good!. I nearly fell asleep so I lay down and took a nap while they all went riding. The phone kept ringing so I got up and called them to find our where they were and as I hung up the phone, the garage door came came up. They had gone to WR and seen snow. About 30 minutes later, A told me to come look that it was snowing. She's always playing games and then saying 'tricked you' but it was snowing.

Man! I went in to action. Get your socks and shoes on. Get longs sleeves on. Get glooves. Where's your coat? Where's you boots? Here, put this on. Even Peanut got in to the action. Are we all ready to go now? And so, here's one of all the pictures we took.

Here's the pile of gloves and head warmers that I bought last year I drug out of the closet for everyone to wear this afternoon!

A and her snow angel:

B and her snow angel:

Peanut out in the snow. He doesn't like cameras, so I can't get a good facial shot of him!

A and B dancing in the snow!

WOW! What a day and the snow's all gone now! I guess we will be going to work and school tomorrow!

Its Snowing In Yonker!

It's Friday!

Oh Yeah! We have such a big weekend lined up. We went to eat at Taco Bell tonight. A realized last night that she loves tacos. The kid has never had a hard shell taco. B has had a soft shelled one before but A has always ate the nachos like me and never eaten anything else there. After that, we went tosee the Jonas Brothers 3-D. They were great. Even if it was just a movie. I don't know what's wrong with me but I cried. I am someone who never cries. One minute I would be laughing at B and the next I would be crying at how good the JoBros were. Something is definitely not right with me. Then we went to Wally World for the weekend trek of grocery shopping. The girls want sandwiches for lunch tomorrow, steak for supper and they are having roast for Sunday lunch. It was after 11 when we got home. A was asleep in the back of the van. In fact, her head fell over on the way home. We knew she was out for the night. We dropped B off at my mom's, its her night there and we hope to sleep late tomorrow morning. We are starting our income taxes in the morning. Yuck. Who ever likes doing them? But, I would like to get them out of the way. And, we are cleaning house.......................and that is all.

I have lots of pics tonight. You know how you feel when its Friday? Well, here it is Friday and when you find out your boss isn't coming in to work either.

Here's the girls with the Jonas Brothers when they got off the plane in New York. Yeah, right! They only wish!
And then, here's the gang in the theater. I have to say that I thought there'd be as many there for the JoBros as there was for Hannah Montana but Hannah beat them hands down.

Have a great weekend guys!

Breaking News!!

::: BREAKING NEWS :::
In 2009 the government
will start deporting
all the mentally ill people.

I started crying
when I thought of you.

Run my little crazy friend, run!

Well, what can I say ??
Someone sent it to me,
and no, I'm NOT going alone !!

This was the ode I was talking about earlier this week. A friend at work sent it to me and you know, some times I feel exactly like this! What really gets my attention is the run my little crazy friend, run!

Gotcha!

This morning as I was leaving for work, B whispers to me that she has to tell me something. I can hear J pulling out of the driveway at the same time. I ask he what. She tells me that Daddy played his ds last night when he was supposed to be asleep. Then the little stinker gives me the thumbs up sign. I'm not so sure that she's exactly right! I went in to ask him something before I went to bed and he was working on the ds. All three of them bought a Nerf Armour to protect their ds's and he was having trouble getting his off to get his charger in to charge his. Or at least that is he told me but according to B, he played until his battery went dead and now he is in trouble. I bought the ds for his Valentine's gift this year and so he can play it when ever he wants to and he's not in trouble but I guess she's thinking if she had been playing it when she should have been sleeping, she would have been in trouble so he should have been in trouble too.

Hmm, I guess I will have to give him a time out!
And here's where AJ takes ballet, the picture for yesterday. Ms. G is an awesome teacher!

Just hanging out

For the last two days, I've gotten the luck to pick up A from ballet. Usually my mom is the one who runs to WM and stays late to pick her up. Its an excuse but that's ok and I let my mom get away with it. But, this week, B has been really sick (again) and so I've sent my mom home with B and I've stayed around and waited for A. Last night as she came out, I snapped her picture. She didn't like it one bit. But, that's ok with me because I am part of the Parent-Paparatzi (and no, I do not know how to spell it correctly but I do know I am one!). On the way home, she was going to delete it from the camera but couldn't find out how so instead she took one of me to show off in case I ever showed the one of her to anyone. Blackmail. I told her that's ok because I was proud of every picture I ever take of her. Pretty or not, I think she's beautiful. Even when she makes the ugly chicken face. That really got her hot!

Here's both of our photos! Enjoy and I'll try to get more tonight. Tee-hee! I mean, that's why I own a camera!

Clueless

I have no idea where I am but I did sneak a peak before I logged on. And to have had to log on, I tell you I'm pretty far behind! I mean, I know I am in WR waiting for A to get out of ballet but that's about it. I have a great ode to post later but I got to catch up first!

February 12: Here's A&B heading off to school for Valentine's Day will goodies for their teachers. So far, they've had good teachers. I thank God for that because I am not teacher material.

February 17: Does homework ever have to be done? Of course not. If you have a daddy that plays and makes it seem like fun. Here J and A are doing math home work and measuring everything in the house possible that was included in the book! They finally gave out of things to measure!

February 20: Sick again. Its what got me not to posting and taking pictures to start with. Poor B! She's had sinus infection after sinus infection, we got her tonsils out and she's still sick. This time, she told me her throat hurt but I thought it was just sinus drainage again. She barely made it home from schoool before she crashed on the couch. Its pretty rough when you crash before mommy crashes and I'm the head crasher of all time in our family. I have always been the one to take naps!
January 22: Who called who a chicken? I wish I had this on video! But doesn't she make a beautiful chicken? Somebody needs to teach this ballerina to do the Funky Chicken!

I think I'm caught up with my pictures, I've got to stay caught up with everything!

February 11, 2009

I got a call this afternoon and B's nose had started bleeding during nap time. I know it scared the daylights out of her! Now that she is here with me, she seems to be her normal happy self but she doesn't seem to feel too good. But we've all been sharing a cold. Started with A, then B, then J and now me. She's reading her sight words to me and has read me one of her Jack and Jilly books that they didn't get finished at school so its not like she feels really bad. I think it is more the cold than the nose making her feel bad.

More from me later when I feel better too!

February 10,2009

Well, yesteryday was certainly a busy day. We got off work, ran by ballet and picked up B, J put her in the car, my mom is telling me about something that happened to her at school and out of the corner of my eye, I see the van slowly going backwards. I start running to it and jump in because the door is standing wide open. In that brief second I also see the door knocking J down, it jumping the curb and B falling out. So you know I'm first mad because I thougth they were playing and they shouldn't be but I realize that they weren't playing pretty fast. B is really scared. She didn't say anything for a few minutes and then of all things she starts saying that daddy saved the van.

We had a pretty moon again but not as pretty as the nigh before. I can't even remember what I took a picture fo now! Well, when I get it loaded, I'll let you see.

Blood On The Moon

Have you ever heard of blood on the moon? I hadn't until some time after J and I met. We were watching a movie about a man that was going hunting or fishing with his dog and his wife said something about blood on the moon and a bird flying through the window. Ever seen the movie? Know what the name of it is? Anyway, something about blood on the moon means that someone is going to die. Well, on the way home from the PTO meeting tonight, we saw the moon and it was huge and there was blood on the moon. You guessed it, no camera in the van, my purse was at the house so no camera was with us but, by the time we got home there was still blood on the moon and we got a picture of it. We had to change all sorts of cameras and lens to get a good picture but we did get it finally.

Now, really, if you know the name of the movie, would you please tell me because I'd like to see it again! Thanks!

February 8, 2009

Sunday was B's Family Day. She wanted to eat at Red Lobster. We did. I told them at church that five years ago, I was looking for a fast plane back to GA because she would not shut up crying and she did not like me. But, she not only likes me now, she acts like me (which is VERY scary!). For the entire time we were in China, poor J had to take total care of her. If any of us females came within two feet of her, she started screaming and crying. He even had to hold her when he took a shower because if he left her in the room with one of us, she'd put in. It had to be hard work showering with your underwear on and a baby in one arm! Picture will be added when I get them downloaded!

February 7, 2009

We took Peanut to get his stitches out, ate lunch at Huddle House, went to Wal-Mart, watched Tinkerbelle, went to Scott's and ate, and that is all. When I get the photos downloaded, maybe I can remember something else! We didn't do much! Oh yeah, I remembered that we worked on B's Valentine Project for school. We, as a family, have to make a box for her Valentine's to go in.................here it it.

Getting Close

February 6, 2009:

I may have to go back and change dates on some of these. I just saw that I posted today's date on the picture for Beka playing the piano for either the 2nd or 3rd for today's date. I was thinking and talking about tomorrow and wrote the wrong date. I may not ever get it right!

The school has a book fair every so often. Friday was Grandparent's Day. B was also sick with a fever so she didn't get to go to school but they went to pick A up. Naturally they were checking out the fair. Then, they call out her name and she wins 5 books. That kid is lucky. I don't know how or why, but she's always winning stuff. Football tickets, flower arrangements, cakewalks, can't think of all of them right now. But she let A pick out two and all together, they picked out some pretty nice books that even I've enjoyed reading! Here she is proud of her winnings.

Double Snagger

February 5, 2009:

Why is it that every time that child has a tooth that needs to come out, it comes out on a Thursday night that she has ballet and on a Thursday night that is the night she sleeps with me????? Oh yes, everyone plays musical beds in this house but me. The doctor said the reason why I couldn't sleep was because I was playing muscial beds so I had to stop. I do sleep a little better, but I don't know it enough better to blame it on the music!

Anyway, here's the soon to be toothless wonder!!

Looks Like A Baby

February 4, 2009:

Here's Peanut and me. He wouldn't do for nothing all night but to sit with me. Wouldn't let the girls pet him or even get near him, if I went to the bathroom, he'd follow me and then sit and wait on me and follow me back to the couch. I guess he must have missed me more than usual. Or was this the day he gnawed through his collar? I think it was so he thought he was really in trouble. I think Poms are the Great Escape Artist Dogs of the World. I know Pystol and Bullet were and Zoto is when he gets half a chance so its only fitting that Peanut would be too!

Amazing!

February 3, 2009:

Oh my goodness. What were we doing 5 years ago? We were about to receive our second child. Unknown to me, she would be the loudest, screamingest, cryingest kid I'd ever met. At this point in time, I was still looking forward to meeting her! Actually, by the 8th when I finally got to hold her , I was ready to give her back, pack my bags and come back to Georgia! I had never met a kid that hated me that much! But if I could think ahead to now, I never met one so much like me or that loves me (except for A but only in a different way) than B does. This time of year is always very emotional. October and February. The Family Days for both of our girls. A dream so very longed awaited for and once obtained, so valued. I thank my God above each and every day for what he has given me. I know I am not the best mom but I know he has entrusted them to me and I will try to do my best for I love Him and I love them. He has never given me a better gift than these two girls. He is the best.
And here she is playing the piano. She's taught herself you know!

And Another

February 2, 2009:

I went to the doctor today and he's decided that he's going to use a little more alternative medicine. He gives me a list of new items that I need to add to my regular routine of pills. Vitamin D-3, Cinnamon, CQ-10, Omega-3 and Garlic.........................So here's a picture of ALL the pills I take Morning Noon and Night.

While I Got A Minute

February 1, 2009:

We went to Atlanta to the American Girl Store. A picked out the Girl of the Year and B picked the Just Like You girl. We also went to the Bistro. Had a fun day, we went because the 8th is B's Family Day and we wanted to be able to be at church and both of the girls have their dolls. Here's the moment of decision!

Saturday, January 31, 2009

For the life of me, I cannot keep up with a daily blog but I will not quit! How do people do it???? My DH J suggested that I keep a log (maybe he means a journal, another thing I’ve never been any good at???) during the week and then paste it into my blog some time during the weekend and add the photos……………..uh, easy as smeasy, right? Well, we will see. Here goes for the rest of the week and we will see how next week goes! And I give up trying to make it all go together, if you don't get the pictures and the journaling, let me know!

Saturday: January 31, 2009

Saturday is supposed to be my day to watch whatever MOMMY wants to watch. I usually end up watching whatever the girls want to see but today I watched a little CMT. I don’t know how long the video of Johnny Cash has been out but B fell in love with it. The two of us got out in the middle of the floor and danced up a storm. Had a blast! In walks DH-J and him and I dance while B starts dancing up a storm right by herself until she crashes in the floor. While A sits over on the couch and says that she is the only normal person in our family. Well, of course she is the only normal person in our family. She is the one who dances on stage in front of people. Not the rest of us!
Friday: January 30, 2009

Feed Me: Feed Me: Please just give me one potato chip.

Thursday: January 29, 2009

Man what a rough night, morning and day! Nuthead went to sleep when we did. I took him out to go potty before we went to sleep. I took him to potty when the alarm when off and as soon as he came back in, he went potty again. And twice before we left for work. Mama found him in the house running loose and wild three times after she had taken him outside and put him back in the crate. Apparently he must have not slept good because he didn't have a good morning!

Wednesday: January 28, 2009

My mom always hated animals. So she said. She had a blind chicken that she carried around when she was little. Then when I had Sasha, she would take her over to my grandma’s house every morning when I was in college so she wouldn’t have to stay at the house by herself all day. Now tell me, if someone will go that far out of their way before they go to work, how can they honestly not like animals. And so, how can I love dogs as much as I do and A love dogs as much as she does and have my mom not love then? But no matter how far up or down the love goes, I love the dogs and A loves the dogs.

Tuesday: January 27, 2009

Need I say more? I love them and I love to watch them sleep!

Monday: January 26, 2009

DH-J decided that he would walk Peanut for me. Said he wouldn’t because WE didn’t want Peanut to attach to him before he attached to me but he is in love with that little dog just like everyone else is around here so he blew it and he walked him. While he was outside two birds came swooping down near the pecan tree and one was HUGE. He yells for me to come look. I run outside and I do see two birds but they are so far away I can’t tell what they are. J says the largest one is an Eagle. WOW! I would love to see an eagle here! Can you tell what it is????

Sunday January 25, 2009

This is B’s snack before she goes to bed……..M&Ms, Skittles and Goldfish Crackers. She ate all of the Goldfish first! Then she goes to sleep before she eats the others.
